MISSION STATEMENT
The firm's mission is to protect Wisconsin consumers who have been preyed upon by predatory businesses and
individuals. While we represent all consumers, our primary goal is to protect the poor, the elderly and the otherwise
vulnerable. No case is too small. Many times in the past the consumer has been taken advantage of and has had
no legal access to correct that wrong. Our firm's mission is to change that situation and to permit access into
the legal system regardless of a consumer's resources, age, gender, race, position or lack of power. In short, we seek
to level the playing field and obtain justice for all.
WHAT WILL THIS COST ME?
All prospective clients have, or should have, questions about costs and attorneys' fees. You have already lost
money as the victim of some type of scam. The last thing you need is to have the problem worsened by throwing
good money after bad. In keeping with our philosophy of "leveling the playing field", we never charge a client unless
we win their case. Even then, the defendant usually pays our fees after you receive your award. We front the costs of litigation.
If we lose, we absorb those costs. You will never be worse off financially for having hired this firm. You have been wronged
once, we do not intend to add to your problems.
HISTORY OF THE FIRM
Jeff Archibald started the Archibald Consumer Law Center in 2004. Before that he spent 17 years practicing litigation and
trial work. The first five years were spent defending corporate America with the law firm of Quarles & Brady.
The next 12 years were spent fighting for individuals' rights as a personal injury lawyer at the law firm of Habush, Habush and Rottier S.C. During the last five years at Habush, Archibald took on an ever increasing number of consumer rights cases on a "pro bono"
or free basis. The need was great and Archibald decided to devote the remainder of his career to fighting for consumer's rights
on a full-time basis. And so began the Consumer Rights Clinic.
